First of all, this type of Shih Tzu called Imperial is not a pure breed as many people think. This is not approved by the National Kennel Club. This breed is referred to as the purebred version. Also, this Shih Tzu dog is small in size and light in weight. According to the NCK recommendation, a clean breed should be 10-11 inches tall and weigh about 7 pounds.
